The idea to establish an Umbrella organization that will oversee the islamic activities in the western region was conceived in the year 1962 by Sheikh Abdullahi Adam Al Alori. But, the dream came to reality in year 1964 by Co-founders listed below after our beloved visionary institutional father and religious mentor had completed the consultation with the stakeholders and secured their consents within the two (2) years.

Rabitah since then, becomes the platform whereat Imams, Ulamas -Alfas, Muslim kings and Nobles in Yorubaland across the six South-West states (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti) converge, deliberate and work together for the call to Allah and Development of Islam for the entire Muslim communities.
